Umm… The reasons are many and always hard to discern. The last audeince i would seek to understand this is an american one.. There are many other specific audiences would could understand better, food critics not necessarily among them. First of all, eating lots of food and flaunting food (even to the point of destroying it or wasting it) is prevelent in all cultures even in indigenous ones. It’s ridiculous to calculate that it’s otherwise, mostly an elitist liberal innoculated view. It is very easy to enjoy any of these dishes without over eating and thus conforming to the dictatorship of ‘health’ imposed by nihilists who have nothing else to live for. Eat and be happy. Try not to waste or not help others. These are both good rules. You can have one slice of chicago pizza and its far different than eating all the corn dogs in the fridge by putting them on your roommates last pizza. Don’t be fooled, america has the most. But that is because of historical circumstances, and not weaknesses in american character. Any country would want what we have. Further, any country would if they could take what we have. biology is an important area of interest if you want to understand reality. Otherwise, just watch biased videos with music playing, and be an idiot. -phy

I see people saying we need to get back to the way we used to eat. I have a feeling that Paleo-man never thought his diet was a preferred way of eating. He probably would have fell over dead looking for an opportunity to be a part of the bounty we enjoy today. I agree that we (modern-man) need to use the idle time we have not hunting and learning how to tame our hunger and help other enjoy the bounty. It is just complicated when you assign blame for our weight issue. When I hear the left assign blame it smacks of religion not evolution.
